A Mess

Much like our weather has been the past few weeks, so is our daughter....a mess!
Puddles in the yard=a toddler in heaven!
She loves my umbrella, raining or not.

Please don't ask about the above picture because I have no idea!
She runs so fast now.  I remember my parents saying that I ran everywhere, never walked.  Well like mother, like daughter...this kids runs EVERYWHERE at full speed!
 Pondering the puddles.
As we were leaving the house today Peyton turns to me and asks, "Mommy, is it raining?"  It wasn't but it was cute!  Stay dry folks and have a great evening!

Happy Birthday Grandma

Yesterday was my Mom's birthday so we celebrated here at our house with pulled pork sandwiches and chocolate cupcakes.  Aunt Shirley was also here to celebrate with us.  We had a great afternoon!

Peyton's favorite part of any party is the cake!
 As you can see......

Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

I'm gonna miss this...

Lately, I have been doing a lot of complaining about having a two year old.  She whines too much, she spills everything, she isn't potty trained, we can't take her anywhere....the list goes on. So Sunday evening right in the middle of a really good unloading of all of my frustrations to Mike about our two year old, he said to me "Your gonna miss this".   And hit hit me like a truck, he was right,  I am gonna miss this and I am going to be looking back ten years from now wishing I had my precocious little two year old baby back.  So I stopped my complaining and started thinking about all the ways I can enjoy her now.

 Girlfriend loves her boots!

 I love the serious face!

 "Kankie" goes everywhere!

All of these pictures make me think of the song....These Boots were made for walkin.

Daddy is always so much fun!
Happy Thursday all!  We are off to visit Liam and Kenley!

A Moment to Relax

This past week I feel like I have been going 90 miles an hour with my hair on fire.  I woke up Monday morning started my day and blinked and it was Friday.  Nothing extraordinary happened, just busy!  So today Mike and I decided it was time for a few hours of relaxation.  We headed to the place that relaxes us best.....the beach.  It was just the three of us, a few birds and the water.  It doesn't get much better than that!

Bathing suit courtesy of Aunt Nicole.  So glad it finally fits.  Cutest little bee ever!

I hope everyone's weekend is as relaxing as ours!

So HOT....So FUN!

This past Saturday we had a mini family reunion.  It makes me laugh to call it a family reunion and I am not sure that everyone thinks of it that way, but I do.  I guess because we have a very small family, so anytime there is more than 10 of us together I feel the need to declare it a "reunion".  Which it actually is, considering we all live in different cities and rarely are all together.  Regardless of the title, it was a blast!  Peyton is the youngest of all the cousins. However, that didn't stop her from being the center of attention....like always.
Not wasting time on socializing, she is headed to the bounce house.

All the kids played so well together.  There were 8 in total and I did not hear a cross word or argument all day.  Check them out above sharing the bubbles.
 Aunt Amanda & Mr. Tim

She is really good at blowing bubbles!

 Time to Hop, Hop, Hop!
 And Slide, Slide, Slide!
Even Grandma got in on the action.

We tried so hard to get her to smile for the camera.  As you can see, we lost.
Peyton and Sierra.  Oh, how I wish Sierra and Erin lived closer.  They took such good care of Peyton all day.  I told them they would make the all time best babysitters!

All the kids and two moms because our kids were not cooperating!
We had such an amazing day with everyone and can't wait to do it again next year....or sooner!!!
