If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be excited, ELATED, that someone took a poop in a tiny little chair in my living room, I would have told you that you needed to be medicated and put away. However, somewhere in the past five years the life I consider normal has changed drastically. And today we hit a milestone....the start of potty training. I will spare you the details but it has begun and it is exciting! Farewell diapers, you will soon be a thing of the past.....SEE YA!!!
For those of you hoping for a picture or video of the momentous occasion you are going to be disappointed. The girl deserves some sense of privacy. So instead I have some pictures from last week of the Great Cupcake Disaster of 2011!
To start, hanging out with a pregnant girl is starting to rub off, and not in the let's have another baby kind of way. But in the let's make cupcakes for no reason kind of way.
The whole idea sparked when I told Krystal that last year for St. Patrick's Day I made cupcakes and gave one to Peyton for the first time.
Liam is the exact same age this year that Peyton was last. SO he was due for his first cupcake. Plus he has to practice for his first birthday coming up in June.
He was ready and so we were we. We laughed and took pictures and the kids seemed to enjoy themseleves.
The ate frosting and made a mess, just as it should be.
Then we noticed it....a rash developing on Liam's face. I tried not to freak Krystal out but suggested she get him in the tub. The rash got worse, then it showed up on Peyton's face...it was getting crazy! Nobody was sick, just rashes on their little faces.
A quick phone call to the pediatrician, a thorough scrub down and one panicked conversation later, they were both fne. The rashes went away and they were all good! Oh and don't ask us why it happened because we still don't know. We just blame Publix buttcream frosting.
So the moral of the story is this....whether someone is using your living room as a toilet or breaking out in hives from a desert item, it's just life and you have to laugh at the craziness that is our NEW normal!
