Friday FUNday

Last Friday Krystal and I returned to our tradition from last year, the Lake's Park Farmer's Market and playground.  It's a little different than last year as there is the new additon, Kenley, and now Liam and Peyton are big enough to play together on their own.
So Peyton and Liam did what they do best....
 they bounced....
they climbed...

 Kenley and I watched....

 they slid...
....and had a blast!
Then when we thought they were tuckered out, we got home refueled them on snacks and drinks and they were off again.
While we played outside a blimp flew overhead.  None of the kids had seen a blimp.  Peyton was super excited and Liam hid for a minute and then warmed up to it.  They were both pointing and telling us to "look".
 Back to sliding...
Notice Peyton's brilliant idea in the background.
Last but not least, Peyton took Liam for a spin in her Hummer.

Sometimes I feel this could be our future in 14 years.  Except Peyton probably won't have a pink Hummer and Liam will probably be the one driving but still with his arm around his girl.

Happy Friday Everyone!  Have a fantastic weekend!

First Fishing Trip

Yesterday, we took Petyon on her very first fishing trip.  Uncle Craig and Aunt Nicole invited us to join them for a few hours on the boat.
Peyton was so excited to go.  However, she kept saying, "it's not dark out".  At first I didn't understand what she meant.  But then I figured it out, the only time she had been on a boat was a short ride at night time.  I guess her little brain couldn't comprehend going during the day.

We loaded her in the boat, strapped her in a life jacket and off we went.

It didn't take Uncle Craig and Dad long to start catching fish.
Here she is reeling in her first fish (a lady fish) with her Daddy.

She was so excited once she got the fish to the boat.  Hwowever, she wouldn't go near it.  We tried to coax her to touch it but she would not budge.

Below is the acutal first fish.

And here is Uncle Craig holding the monster fish since Peyton wouldn't
We had so much fun on the high seas with the Whitakers.  Peyton has been telling me all morning about the "jumping fish" and "Craig feeding the bird".  We can't wait to go again!

Peyton & Sasha

Now that the holidays are packed up and stored away we have been spending time organizing and cleaning.  Therefore, there is a severe lack of photos being taken during these arduous tasks.  However. these two pictures were too cute to pass up.  Peyton getting in a little one-on-one time with her dear friend Sasha!

Happy Tuesday!

A Steamy New Years

Until yesterday we have had some unseasonable warm weather here in the south.  So warm, that on New Year's Eve Mike and Peyton donned swimsuits and took a dip in the hottub.
I know I can speak for Mike when I say, it was the perfect way for him to end 2011.  The two of them splashed, played and laughed endlessly.  By the time we coaxed them out they were pruned up real good!

Only in Florida can you rock a bathing suit in December.

The little polar bear even wanted to test out the pool.  Her face says it all!
After everyone was showered and dressed up for the evening Aunt Amanda and I made fondu for the four of us.

It was delicious and Peyton loved it!

Then we capped our night off with a stroll around the block, mostly to walk off the fondu but also to see the lights one last time for the season.  It wasn't the wildest night of our lives but it was memorable.
