"Waiting on time"

This may very well be my last post as a mother of one.  With 11 days left we are just "waiting on time" as my Grandma says.  So it is only fitting that I finally took some pictures with my real camera of Peyton.  She looked so cute this morning that I couldn't pass up snapping a few shots of her in action. 

This is her saying "Argh" like a pirate.  I couldn't get her to stop doing it.  Apparently the kids play pirates at school a lot! Which makes sense because their playground is a large ship.

She is as lively as ever and full of hysterical stories from school.  Mike and I look forward to picking her up and hearing all she has to say about her day.

 Peyton is going to make a great big sister!  However, I can't help but feel a little sad that these are our last few days with just her.  She has been the best part of the past three years and we are so thankful for this amazing little girl!

Thirty One

Yesterday I turned thirty one.  While it wasn't the party of last year...the BIG 3-0, it was a great day, because I go to see this little face one last time before he is an outside baby.  I was scheduled for an ultrasound to check on my placenta, just to make sure it was out of the way for the csection.  I wasn't expecting much, just a quick look and then they would send me on my way.  But the tech was so nice and measured his length and weight and let me take a look at our sweet boy.  As soon as she panned to his face I noticed his eyes were open.  I couldn't believe it!  In all the ultrasounds I had of Peyton, never once do I remember seeing her eyes open.  He was just looking around and wide awake.  It was one of the coolest moments of my life. 

And the good news....my placenta has moved way out of the way, so no worries for surgery.  As for our little munchkin, he is weighing in at a very healthy 6lbs 6 ounces and 18.5 inches long.  He has just under three weeks left to "bake", so he should top out around 8 pounds.  He has the chubbiest cheeks and thighs already and everything else looked perfect!  We are so excited to meet this little guy we can hardly stand it!  20 Days and counting....
