Merry Christmas

As the Christmas chaos is just about to reach a fever pitch I felt the need to send everyone warm Christmas wishes to you and your family.
It has been an amazing year watching Peyton grow and change and we look forward to 2011 and all that it holds.
But for now we are enjoying the season and all that it brings.
 Friends and family.
 Food and fun.
 And family traditions...new and old.
Merry Christmas everyone!  From our family to yours!

SANTA

It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.
W. T. Ellis

SANTA!  We finally made it to see the jolly old fella and Peyton was curious and cautious.
When we first arrived she wasn't sure what to make of the whole scene.  This is the exact place we took her last year but of course her memory is a little foggy from only being six months old at the time.
She looked him over...
She let me get near...
But she wouldn't sit in his lap.
Not being the type of parents to give up, we distracted and danced and waited a bit to try again.
There were Christmas singers outside, and good thing because Peyton never wastes a good opportunity to dance.
We made a loop back through the house and up the stairs to peruse the second story.
 And on her second attempt...
 ...she sat on Santa's lap.
I was so happy!  She didn't sit long but she sat nonetheless.  I snapped 100 pictures as fast as I could.
Then she was ready to go!!!  No tears, just a sad face that said it all.  I'm ready Mom and Dad.
Santa has officially been informed of Peyton's wish list.  Good thing she is on the NICE list.

Potato Heads

Grandma stopped by today to drop off some Christmas packages and as luck would have it, she had a little time to sit down and play with the potato head family.
Your photos are annoying me MOM!
Let me see if I can get mine to look like yours Grandma.
Okay I see, now YOU put the eyes like this.
Where are the rest of the pieces?

Photoshoot with Friends

Today Peyton's favorite little man came over for a Christmas card photoshoot.  I know from experience how hard it is to get a decent photo of a 5 month old for your Christmas card.  If you got my card last year you can vouch for that, as I used some random photos taken during the year.  I tried to pose Peyton on my own last year and it was a disaster!  So we helped Krystal and Liam out today and I have to admit we did a pretty good job.  Below are some of the in between moments and outtakes.

Randomness

Oh no I forgot to call Grandpa and wish him a Happy Birthday! Please pick up Grandpa...
Look, I am really sorry.  I have had a really stressful day. I am out of yogurt covered raisins and I am losing it!
But I do love you very much.  Happy Birthday Grandpa!
I can't wait til I turn 39 (again) like you.

Kickin back for some morning cartoons.
New Rule: If you come to our house you must bring change for Pey's piggy bank.

She even puts the bank away when she is finished.
Our little lefty.  We aren't sure if she is left handed but she sure does alot of activities with her "off" hand.  And I couldn't be more proud of the fine window cleaning skills.

Happy Birthday Dad! We love you lots!
