Before the Bunny

Before the Easter Bunny disaster we spent some time playing with Aunt Nicole.  Near the outdoor play area is a stage that is used for little concerts.  It didn't take long for Peyton to find the stage and begin her own performance.  Poor Aunt Nicole got stuck chasing her down when she would run off the back of the stage but at least Peyton had fun!

 The adorable dress was a gift from Ms. Debbie.  She looked so cute in it!

 We have no clue what she was doing in the above picture.  I guess she was thinking about doing a stage dive???

Eggs are dyed...

The Easter Bunny is not her friend.

Peyton's first time seeing the Easter Bunny did not go as planned.  I hope he still brings her a basket this year!!!

Almost Two

I don't think I would have believed anyone if they would have told me my almost two year old could be so busy!  She never stops moving...EVER!  I followed her around with the camera the other day while waiting for Mike to get home just to document all that she was doing right then.  I promise that all of these pictures were taken in less than 3 minutes.   It is amazing to watch her little brain work and figure things out and decide what to get into next.  Here she goes....

Happy Birthday Daddy

Mike's birthday was this past this past Thursday, so I am a little late getting to this post.  However, my excuse is that we have been having too much fun to make time for blogging.  When Mike got home from work Thursday we had a little party here at the house, complete with pizza, cake and decorations.  It was simple but fun! 

Peyton put on her favorite party dress for the occasion.  She was so excited to help me decorate!  Which really means, she loved carrying around the balloons and scattering them all over the house.

 When Daddy got home he brought her some funny glasses he got at work. The girl is a sucker for some cool shades.

 The Hassen family was in attendence as well.  Peyton and Liam made good use of the sand box which hadn't been opened since last year.

 We even managed to squeeze in a festive round of Happy Birthday for the Birthday Boy!

Happy Birthday Mike/Daddy!  We love you!

Pool Shark

If you were to ask me to compare each family member that was playing pool tonight to a certain kind of shark, the match ups would be as follows:

Grandma and Me - Nurse Sharks (the lamest of all sharks, we stink at pool)

Grandpa - Bull Shark (a large hard headed shark, who wins a battle every now and then)

Daddy - Hammerhead Shark (Agressive and doesn't care who he beats, I think his daughter included)

Peyton - A Great White (she takes pool playing very seriously and thinks she is the biggest and badest shark in the room)

 Long gone are the days of the sweet little baby, gently crawling on top of the pool table.

 Oh no, she is serious now.  She means busniess!

 She has gotten so much taller and can almost see over the edge of the table.  However, even though she can see over she can't reach over the edge. So the best part of the game is taking balls out of the pockets and putting them back in play for the competitors. It adds a whole new level of difficulty to the game.

Grandpa gave her a quick lesson on chalking your stick. Which resulted in blue chalk on her face and in her mouth.  Apparently she needs work in that area.

 Looks like she got the hang of it after all.

 Needless to say, a game of pool is just not the same as it use to be at the Lovelace house.  But in my opinion it is more fun then ever now!
