Spring Sprinklers

The weather on Saturday was beautiful!  It was the perfect day for Peyton's first run through the sprinklers.  I have memories of running through the sprinklers my Dad would put in the front yard.  It is a right of passage for kids in the south.  Plus it serves two purposes, keeping the little ones entertained and watering the yard. I imagine there will many days spent just like this... 

Bath Time....again

I know, I know...it seems like all my kid does is take baths with boys.  But I can't help the only little ones we spend time with are boys.  However, this bath served a purpose.  Little Liam had gotten a new bath seat at his house but when his Momma tried to put him in it he freaked out! So we thought if we put him in with Peyton he would realize the bath seat was fun and get over his hatred of the seat.  As you can see, it worked! 

 I can proudly say that Liam has been using his bath seat everday since! 

 When you're little taking a bath with a friend is always more fun.

 It was so funny to watch them interact and splash together.  They were double trouble in the splashing department.

Bath Time with Friends

Is there anything cuter than a little kid enjoying a bubble bath?  I can answer that, YES!  Two little kids enjoying a bubble bath.

We spent the weekend with The Adams family in Tampa and had such a wonderful time. 
It's always great to see them but this time is was extra fun because Peyton and Steven actually played with each other. Steven turns two on Saturday, so they are pretty close in age. The last time we were there for a visit they were both a little more shy and a little less interested in one another.  This time it was a whole other story and they were best buds all evening.

I haven't done my silly commentary in awhile of what I think Peyton is saying in photos, however, tonight I feel it is time to translate.  At the end of the evening we tossed the sticky little munchkins in the tub together and it was hysterical!  SO here goes...

Peyton: Mom, do you see this boy in the tub with me?

Steven: Mom, do you see this girl in the tub with me?

Steven: Hey, don't blame me for those bubbles.

Peyton: It was me...he he he

No commentary necessary...

Steven: Oh man is this water hot!

No commentary necessary...

Steven:  So delicious!!!

Peyton:  Scoot over, I need a drink.

Both:  Splashing water all over Grandma/Aunt Shirley's bathroom is so fun!

We had such a nice time this weekend and can't wait to go back soon!  Thanks for the memories Adams Family!

Ball with Daddy

First of all, do not ask why our sweet little girl is in the driveway in her nightgown and socks.  She just is.  But who really cares, I think these pictures speak for themselves and her and her Daddy were having a BLAST!

Water Wings

Water wings are the best!  Last Tuesday I bought Peyton her first pair and thought that they were worth a shot.  I paid $4.99 and they are worth every penny.  They took a little getting use to but by the weekend she was a pro.

We are looking forward to countless days in the pool this summer. I am making a prediction that she will be wingless by the end of summer!  Just you wait and see!

The Leaf Collector

There is never a shortage of laughter when it comes to spending time with Peyton.  Even the simplest of activities always seem to turn into an event.  Yesterday, we were out for an afternoon walk before dinner, it was a little breezy and the neighbors leaves were blowing into the street and all over the place.

The leaves immediately caught my curious toddler's eye and she headed straight for them.  She picked up the first one and looked at me with the, "Is this okay, Mom?", look.  I told her to go ahead.  From that point on it was "ON".

 She walked from yard to yard gathering as many leaves as she could hold in her little hands.  She was so happy with herself.  She kept showing them to me and people passing by.  She would say, "See this, see this" and keep collecting.

 The face above is hilarious to me because she just realized that the yard she was in front of was full of leaves.  It was heaven to her.

Finally it was time to go home and sadly she had to leave her collection behind.  Maybe today we will hunt for rocks!!!
