Momma Peyton & Graduation

Yesterday Mike graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with his accounting degree.  It has been a long road, with less than ideal conditions for someone seeking their second college degree. But he accomplished his goal and I couldn't be more proud! Congratulations Honey...you did it!!!
So in honor of his big day we did what any family would do....we stayed home and spent the day together.  We watched movies, ate snacks and played in the driveway.  It was the perfect way to spend his big day!
Our driveway play last night once again reminded me of how maternal Peyton is.  She loves to wrap her baby in a blanket, kiss her on the head and push her in the stroller.  She has always loved her babies and yesterday I got to catch her in action with her little one.

Her face cracks me up.  She is so serious about pushing that stroller.  I wonder if I look like that when I am pushing her around???

Of course she does what any tired mom at the end of the day does...kicks back and eats a few Oreos.
We hope everyone had as lovely of weekend as we did.  Happy Monday!

First Easter Egg Hunt

As Peyton gets older the holidays become more fun, not just for her but for us as well.  Easter was no exception.  Peyton took part in her very first Easter egg hunt.  I spent time dying eggs earlier in the week and couldn't wait to let the Easter Bunny hide them all....18 of them!  I don't think the Easter Bunny was too happy with me.  But the payoff was great and she figured out the process in no time at all.  I will let the pictures tell the story....

I wouldn't change a thing about her first egg hunt, except maybe plastic eggs instead of dyed eggs next year.  However, the mess added to the memory of the day.  It was perfect!  And this lucky girl had eggs hidden in two places.  Grandma and Grandpa's egg hunt is next...

Breakfast Peeps

Here is my long overdue Easter post.  Well actually posts, because there are so many pictures and so much excitement to share. To start the morning I let Peyton open her Easter basket before her Daddy was even up and at em.  I wanted her to open her basket more than she did.
To her delight there was a package of yellow peeps dipped in chocolate.  And I will not deny it, I let her eat them with her breakfast.

What an awesome start to Easter!

Before the Bunny

Before the Easter Bunny disaster we spent some time playing with Aunt Nicole.  Near the outdoor play area is a stage that is used for little concerts.  It didn't take long for Peyton to find the stage and begin her own performance.  Poor Aunt Nicole got stuck chasing her down when she would run off the back of the stage but at least Peyton had fun!

The adorable dress was a gift from Ms. Debbie.  She looked so cute in it!

We have no clue what she was doing in the above picture.  I guess she was thinking about doing a stage dive???
